Place every JPG to PDF page without recompressing the photo
JPG to PDF puts each JPEG on its own page and embeds those JPEG bytes as they are. The photo is not run through a second JPEG encode. Orientation from EXIF is applied as a placement rotation, so a sideways phone photo can sit upright without rewriting the pixels.

How to turn a JPG to PDF
- Add one or more JPEG files, up to 100. Drop them, paste, or use Choose files. Put them in reading order with the up and down buttons.
- Choose a page size: Fit to image, A4, Letter, or Legal. Orientation is Auto, Portrait, or Landscape. Auto picks landscape when the photo is wider than it is tall.
- Set Margin to None, Small, or Medium. Small is 18 points. Medium is 36 points. None uses the full page.
- Set Image fit to Contain or Fill. Contain keeps the whole photo. Fill covers the page and can cut the edges.
- Press Create PDF. One photo downloads under a name based on that file. Several photos become one PDF named images.pdf.
JPG to PDF options explained
Fit to image sizes the page to the photo, one point per pixel, after EXIF orientation swaps width and height for the sideways cases. A 3000 pixel photo becomes a very large page. Choose A4, Letter, or Legal when a portal expects a paper size.
Contain scales the photo so both sides fit inside the page, inside the margin. Empty bands are possible. Fill scales it so the page is covered, which crops whichever side is left over. The crop is placement, not a second file.
EXIF orientation is applied when the picture is placed. Values that mean 90 degrees, 270 degrees, or 180 degrees are drawn rotated. The JPEG bytes themselves are embedded, not recompressed. Other orientation values are drawn as stored.
What is preserved, and what is not
Because the JPEG is embedded rather than re-encoded, the photo’s compression artefacts stay as they were. You do not get a fresher image, and you do not get a worse one from this step. If the JPEG is already too large, compress it before this page, or compress the PDF afterwards.
The PDF does not become a word processor document. There is no text layer unless the JPEG somehow contained one, which a photo does not. PDF to text on this result will not find sentences.
The producer line on the saved PDF is Upload Nothing (uploadnothing.com). The JPEG’s own EXIF is not a PDF info dictionary. Edit PDF metadata if the portal reads title or author from the PDF.
Order, paper size, and edges
Order matters, and you set it with the move buttons before you press Create PDF. The first file is page one. There is no thumbnail drag grid for this list.
Letter is 612 by 792 points, A4 is about 595 by 842, and Legal is 612 by 1008. Auto orientation swaps those when the photo is wider than it is tall. Portrait and Landscape force the swap regardless of the photo.
A margin shrinks the box the photo is fitted into. It does not add a border decoration. None plus Contain plus Fit to image is the closest to the original pixel rectangle.
Limits, formats and output
| Accepted input | JPEG |
|---|---|
| Files per batch | 1–100 |
| Soft size warning | 200 MB or 1,000 pages |
| Hard stop | 500 MB total in memory |
| Output | PDF, or a ZIP when there is more than one file |
| Account | None. The tool runs in this tab. |
Your file never leaves your device
Your JPEG is placed on a page by a script running in this tab. The work runs in a Web Worker in this tab, using WebAssembly for the heavy parts, and the result comes back as a local blob. This site does not upload the file, store it, or log its name.
To verify: load the page, turn on airplane mode, and drop the file again. It still finishes. Or open DevTools, choose Network, and watch the run: there is no upload. The architecture is described on How it works.
Frequently asked questions
Does JPG to PDF recompress the photo?
No. The JPEG bytes are embedded in the page. A second encode would add more artefacts, and this tool does not do that. If you need a smaller photo, compress the JPEG first, then build the PDF, or compress the PDF and accept that Balanced and Strong will recompress ordinary JPEG images inside it.
Why is the page huge?
Fit to image uses one point per pixel. A phone photo of several thousand pixels becomes a page that wide. Viewers will open it, and some portals will reject it. Switch page size to Letter, A4, or Legal. Contain will then scale the photo onto that paper.
What does Fill cut off?
Fill scales until both the width and the height cover the box, then the overflow is outside the page. A wide photo on a portrait page loses the left and right edges, or the top and bottom, depending on the shape. Contain keeps the whole photo and may leave empty bands.
Are sideways photos turned?
EXIF orientation is applied as a rotation of the placement. The common sideways and upside-down values are handled. The pixels inside the JPEG are not rewritten. If a photo still looks sideways, its file may not have carried an orientation tag, and you would rotate it before this step.
How many photos can I add?
Up to 100 JPEGs. A soft warning appears around 50 MB on an image file, and the hard stop is 500 MB for everything in memory together. Put the list in order with the up and down buttons. Several files become one PDF named images.pdf.
Can I do this offline?
After the page has loaded, the work runs from the cached engines. Airplane mode is a fair test: if Create PDF still finishes, the photos did not need a server. The download is a normal PDF you can save yourself.
