Image tools that stay in your browser

These image tools run entirely in your browser tab. Pick a tool, drop a file, and download the result. The pages below are the whole catalogue. Each one states its limits in plain language, including the jobs this site will not pretend to do, such as turning a PDF into a Word document.

Image tools that stay in your browser catalogue

How to pick a tool

  1. Start from the job, not the file type. If the portal wants a smaller PDF, open Compress PDF rather than a generic converter.
  2. Read the limits table on the tool page before you drop a 200 MB scan.
  3. Use the related tools under the result when the next step is obvious, such as numbering a file you just merged.

What this hub lists

Compress image: Shrink JPG, PNG, or WebP by quality or a target size. Compress JPEG: Re-encode JPEGs with MozJPEG. PNG and WebP can be converted along the way. Compress PNG: Lossless OxiPNG by default, with a colour-reduction option when you need a smaller file. Resize image: Change pixel size by dimensions, percent, or longest side. Bulk resize images: Apply one size rule to every image and download a ZIP. Crop image: Cut a rectangle out of a photo. PNG stays PNG so transparency survives. Image converter: Convert between JPG, PNG, and WebP. PNG to JPG: Turn PNGs into JPEGs. Transparency is painted onto a background colour. JPG to PNG: Wrap a JPEG in a PNG. The photo does not gain transparency it never had. WebP to JPG: Decode a WebP and save a JPEG that older forms will accept. WebP to PNG: Decode a WebP into a PNG, including the alpha channel when the file has one. JPG to WebP: Encode a JPEG as WebP at the quality you set. PNG to WebP: Encode a PNG as WebP. Use this when a site wants WebP and you still have screenshots. HEIC to JPG: Decode iPhone HEIC photos in the browser and save JPEGs. HEIC to PNG: Decode a HEIC and save a PNG instead of a JPEG. AVIF to JPG: Decode an AVIF with the browser’s built-in decoder and save a JPEG. SVG to PNG: Rasterise an SVG at a width you choose. The SVG is drawn as an image, never inserted as markup. Rotate image: Turn or flip a photo. EXIF orientation is applied first, then the tag is dropped. Remove EXIF: Show the camera, date, and GPS fields, then strip them. JPEGs are remuxed so the pixels stay identical.

What these image tools will not do

There is no server waiting for the file, so there is also no hidden queue and no account to log into. Office conversion, optical character recognition, and background removal are outside this version. If a scanned PDF has no text layer, PDF to text will say so instead of inventing words.

HEIC decoding uses a separate library that loads the first time you need it. AVIF decoding uses the browser’s own decoder, so an older browser will say it cannot open the file.

Your file never leaves your device

Every tool linked from this page opens the file in the tab you already have open. The work runs in a Web Worker in this tab, using WebAssembly for the heavy parts, and the result comes back as a local blob. This site does not upload the file, store it, or log its name.

To verify: load the page, turn on airplane mode, and drop the file again. It still finishes. Or open DevTools, choose Network, and watch the run: there is no upload. The architecture is described on How it works.
